CBS picking up modern-day Sherlock Holmes show
Sherlock Holmes is a popular guy.
The seminal sleuth is the subject of an action-packed pair of movies starring Robert Downey Jr. The BBC is running a modern-day take on the character (which, as we wrote yesterday, just got picked up for a third season).
CBS just announced they've picked up a drama pilot called Elementary, about another modern-day version of Sherlock Holmes--except this one is set in New York City. Sounds... interesting.
The big question now, of course, is: Will the character be Americanized, or will he be an ex-pat Brit?
