Liam Neeson cast as Matthew Scudder
Just saw some good news from Lawrence Block: A Walk Among the Tombstones, the tenth book in the Matthew Scudder series, is scheduled to begin filming in February, and Liam Neeson has been cast as Matthew Scudder. Here's what Block had to say:
I couldn’t be happier. Neeson as Scudder struck me as a wonderful idea back when I saw him portray Michael Collins in the eponymous film. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather see in the role.
The press association reported that "Liam will play Matt Scudder at the time he's an ex-New York policeman and unlicensed private detective who is hired to find the kidnapped wife of a drug dealer."
