New eBooks from G. K. Chesterton
We’ve just added two G. K. Chesterton books to our collection! The books collect stories featuring the inimitable Father
Brown, and, as part of our new line of classic mysteries, they have both been professionally proofread and formatted to ensure readability on any device. The books also include brand new introductions by Otto Penzler!
These are the first two books of Father Brown stories that Chesterton wrote, The Innocence of Father Brown and The Wisdom of Father Brown, each one containing twelve short mysteries. In many of the featured stories, the priest-turned-detective applies his knowledge of human evil—gained from years working as a confessor—to intuit the thought processes of criminals and reconstruct the methods of their crimes.
G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936) was a prolific author of fiction, poetry, and Christian theological essays. His work has influenced a wide variety of authors, including C.S. Lewis, Neil Gaiman, and Jorge Luis Borges. He is best-known for his Father Brown stories.
