Brother Cadfael in adaptation
In honor of our release of all 21 volumes of the Cadfael Chronicles in eBook form, take a look at these adaptations of Ellis Peters' immortal series:
Between the years of 1994 and 1998, British broadcast company ITV Central adapted the Chronicles into a television series starring Sir Derek Jacobi. The series was filmed on location in Hungary. As of this posting, all thirteen episodes of Cadfael were available to watch on YouTube.
The novels also spawned radio adaptations produced in the early 90s by BBC Radio 4. Adaptations of two of the novels (A Morbid Taste for Bones and One Corpse Too Many) featured Glyn Houston as Cadfael, followed by three more installments (Monk's Hood, The Virgin in the Ice, and Dead Man's Ransom) with Philip Madoc voicing the beloved monk detective.
