Two Sherlock Holmes pastiches by Vincent Starrett, now available as eBooks!
We've just added two wonderful volumes of Sherlockiana to our collection: Vincent Starrett's The Unique Hamlet and The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes! Both eBooks have been professionally proofread and formatted to ensure accuracy and readability on any device!
The Unique Hamlet is a classic work of Holmes pastiche. In it, Holmes and Watson delve into the dark recesses of the rare book world, chasing the missing 1604 folio of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The book is an excellent addition to any Shelock fan's digital library.
Starrett's pastiche shows his familiarity with the Arthur Conan Doyle's famous series. In The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, his mastery is more fully elucidated. The book is an imaginative biography of the detective that mixes a fan's delight with an expert's knowledge. It includes a glimpse into the sleuth's secret case files, as well as the layout of 221B Baker Street and its surrounding neighborhood.
Vincent Starrett (1886-1974) was a Chicago-based journalist, literary critic, and Sherlockian. He founded the Chicago chapter of the Baker Street Irregulars, and wrote biographies of authors such as Robert Louis Stevenson and Ambrose Bierce.
