Hugh B. Cave

Hugh B. Cave (1910-2004) was an intensely prolific author of fiction whose career spanned nearly the entire history of pulp magazines. Born in England and raised near Boston, he published his first story at eighteen and continued writing until his death, producing well over one thousand stories of horror, mystery, and suspense.

“Other writers may have been equally productive in as many genres, but very few matched the success and professional reputation of Mr. Cave.” —The New York Times
